Seal of Civic Readiness

The New York State Seal of Civic Readiness is a prestigious endorsement on high school diplomas awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional civic knowledge, skills, mindsets, and experiences. Through project-based learning, community engagement, and activities like capstone projects or service, students earn this distinction by accumulating points in civic knowledge and participation.

This seal highlights a student's commitment to active citizenship and democratic values. It also serves as an approved +1 graduation pathway (substituting for an additional Regents exam) and signals to colleges and employers readiness for informed, engaged participation in society.

Managed in New York City public schools by the Civics for All initiative under the NYC Department of Education, our school proudly supports students in pursuing this meaningful recognition.
