High School Rankings

High school class rank is a method of determining how students measure and compare to each other in terms of grades. Your ranking is calculated by comparing your GPA to your classmates’ in the same grade. Typically, class rank is reevaluated each semester as new grades are added to your transcript.

Students awarded transfer credits (i.e. if you have transferred to Madison from another high school) will not be ranked and are not eligible to be named Valedictorian or Salutatorian. If you have any questions, please reach out to your assigned College Guidance Counselor.
