Program Changes

At Madison programming is driven by the understanding that students will meet all New York State graduation requirements if they successfully pass the courses they are scheduled for. In order to uphold the integrity of this principle and our instructional program, the following policies must be recognized when considering program changes:

- Program changes are prioritized for those who have been miss-programmed (i.e. given the wrong class, a class in the wrong sequence, a class already passed, etc.).
- Pre-approvals for courses such as Advanced Placement and Honors does not guarantee a seat in that course.
- Program changes are final.
- Once a change is processed, the original program cannot be reinstated.
- Program changes do not guarantee a specific teacher or period.
- Program changes may result in a longer day due to the addition of a lunch, service or attendance period.
- Program changes do not guarantee a specific start time or end time.
- Madison’s official school hours are from 7:20a.m. to 3:38p.m. Your schedule may fall anywhere within that time frame.
