AP & Dual Credit Courses

At JMHS, you have the opportunity to stretch yourself academically. Advanced Placement and Dual Credit courses are a great way to take a college level course while in high school. Participation in AP and Dual Credit are open to any JMHS student in grades 10-12 who is ready for the demands of being in an AP or Dual Credit course.

If you are interested in applying to an AP or Dual Credit Course for the next school year, please be sure to read through the document below to see what each class offers.
Advanced Placement and Dual Credit classes are a great opportunity, but also require a lot of effort and dedication. Remember, AP and Dual Credit classes are college level classes and should be treated as such. By submitting an application you acknowledge that you have reviewed the requirements for each class and understand the hard work and dedication that will be required to do well in these classes.

This is also just an application and is not a guarantee of placement or a seat. Students who apply to 3 or more classes will be required to meet with Ms. Cohen for approval. Students who apply to 4 or more classes will be placed on a waitlist. Priority in classes will go to students who do not have any other AP or Dual Credit classes. You will be notified by your guidance counselor of which classes you have been approved for.

As a community, we try to provide access to Advanced Placement and Dual Credit classes to all students. Your acceptance to a class does not guarantee a seat.

The AP and Dual Credit application deadline is February 6, 2026.
